Hello everyone,
so i recently saw this behance project: https://www.behance.net/gallery/27827957/Virgin-Gorda-British-Virgin-Island... and got really interested in the effect.

I am aware this was made in real life, using watercolour and taking pictures with a high aperture lenses. However I would like to know if this effect is possible in C4D, by using Vray paper materials.

Thank you very much!

Nico

I guess where you render the DOF would depend on if you're wanting to create an animation, or just still images.

If just a still, render DOF in C4D, if animation, do a DOF pass and take it into AE for faster rendering and tweaking of the DOF.

What I would do is use C4D and create a material with a paper look like what I did here:

I'm not a V-Ray user, but I'm sure you can create a paper looking material for V-Ray.
