I'm trying to create an animation where pieces of an object are being 'sliced' off. I tried using boolean but when I applied soft body to the new individual pieces, they sort of exploded. I've tried a bunch of other things, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips/techniques for simulating this?
Are the new pieces still objects in a Boole or are they made editable? - if they are editable did you Connect the resulting objects? If you did Connect (or Connect and Delete) did you select all the vertexes and run Optimize so all the objects are one piece?
