I have a model with a simple texture applied via default UVW projection. I made a hole in the model by accident and have filled in the missing polygons with the bridge tool. The model's texture does not apply correctly to the new polygons.
I've tried deleting the UVW and texture tags, reapplying it and selecting 'generate UVW coordinates'. Now the texture is messed up on the entire model. None of the other projection options work either. If I make a new model with a similar shape, the texture applies with no problem.
Where in my model is this erroneous data stored, and how can I reset it? I'm at my wit's end and I really don't wanna have to remodel the whole thing.
Make sure this new polygons are connected to the rest of your model... then go to window -> bodypaint -> new texture view. Drag your uvw tag to this window and you will see how is it being mapped. Select those erratic polygons and move/place them at where they should be. It may not be easy.
