Model geometry is twisting after I animate

Hi I am animating this looping animation of a rigged human with separating elements (heads and legs detach) The rig seems to working fine but after being animated for a while the torso twists and remains that way even when I zero my rig controls. It happened before and I reweighed the whole body, which worked until now. Any thoughts on how to fix or avoid this issue, I'd rather not throw out everything and start from scratch.
