I have a (circular) logo and I need it to map it on a sphere to make it spin and transform into another logo.
The problem I'm facing is the deformation due to the mapping in cinema 4D. No matter what, the logo over the sphere becomes too distorted to match the original one.
I made a better texture out of the illustrator file of the logo (extended all the background over a 2:1 artboard and readapt the graphics into it as best as I can) so I now realize I probably need to create some uv maps. Is it correct?
What I think the solution could look like is: I map the logo over the sphere, unwrap the uvs, bring them into photoshop tho get straight back and recreate a new distorted texture that won't be distorted when mapped over the sphere.
Do I really need to learn advanced uv texturing NOW? :)
Or is there any plugin or shortcut? Even inside After Effects would be great.
