Reducing shadows

I like to have a plane and physical sky object on when i'm modeling houses.

I'd like to reduce the contrast of shadow on the walls like pictured here, regardless of the position of the sun. Is there a setting in the physical sky that would flatten it out or would i introduce
a light object?

Thank you.

can you post that scene? The default settings of the Physical Sky object shouldn't look like that unless I'm missing something

This is an empty file with my plane and physical sky settings:

Thanks.

the settings are normal enough - I think you would have to put in a light with Ambient Illumination turned on or use GI
