Smoke in front and behind object (compositing)

To explain my question. I have a Video and a c4d scene in that smoke (TurbulenceFD) comes out of a cup, fluids on a table (cube) and then fluids down from the table, . The 3d cup is already tracked etc.
My only problem is, I need to edit the smoke separately in After effects. But if the smoke is under the table either I have through the compositing tag, the background on the table-cube or it's completely invisible and you can see the smoke under the table.
What I need is, that the smoke (or in general every object that goes behind the cube), disappears only when it's actually behind the object.
The cube should be invisible, not just black.
here you see, you see the smoke that falls down, behind the cube.
here you see, the smoke is behind the table but it renders the background data and I can't color correct only the smoke.
For some reason it did work with just deactivating "seen by camera" and turning "composite with background" on another project, but somehow not now.
I hope someone can understand my problem and has a solution.
