create a texture with a very colorful gradient in the "luminance" channel and then apply it to a sky object. Then just play around with transparency/reflectance on the materials of your other objects. Transparency will allow you to see through the objects, and reflectance will reflect back what is on the sky object.
If you don't want to actually see the sky object, attach a compositing tag and uncheck "seen by camera"
