Physical Sky: Soft shadows on a cloudy day?

We know that in reality, objects won't usually cast long shadows on a cloudy sky. Is there a way for me to simulate this effect in C4D using the Physical Sky? (I've tried adding clouds and changing the Phys.Sky's Cloud Influence to %100)

the effect that i'm trying to achieve is this:

notice how it lacks long-cast shadows due to softening by the cloud layer in the sky.
I appreciate every reply to this thread and appreciate your help.

I would turn off shadows in the sky object and use the ambient occlusion effect. You could also create a shadow-only rig by cloning lights on a hemisphere.
