Hello all,

I'm new to the software and have been trying to create this shape with limited success.

Its got a bit of a outward bulge on the front surface which I can't figure out how to create it properly in C4D.

I'm just curious, looking at this image, what some of your workflows might be to get the geometry right? Perhaps some insight will put me on the right track.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.

This is not the only way and it's not exact and needs to be done better but FWIW it's one way

Wow. Thanks so much for taking the time to do that!!!

I was able to get to a similar place with my model, but it was a much more convoluted process.

A detail which I'd like to improve upon, is that I'd like the front of the object to have more of a taper... a cross section roughly like this, coming to almost a point at the top and bottom.

I tried using the magnet tool to do this, but it created a harsh edge that doesn't work. Do I need more geometry to make that transition smooth?

rather than the magnet tool try using Soft Selection in the scale tool
