I have been trying set up an emitter to emit bullet casings out of an automatic rifle, but I have a problem. Everything looks great until they reach the ground. No matter what friction settings I choose, the casings will not come to a stop. They will keep rolling for the duration of the comp. So far I've tried adjusting the friction and bounce settings, changing the collision shape, clearing the dynamics cache, and upping the steps per frame in the dynamics settings under the project settings menu. Any idea on what the problem could be?
dynamics does that because it can't be totally accurate and still be fast enough to use. In the Dynamics Body/Force tab are Linear and Angular Damping use them to stop extra motion. You can turn them up a bit or leave them at zero then increase them when you need things to stop.
