I would ask it here but it is a lot easier to explain in a video. So here it is:

I am also trying to get the model to have a shape like this: http://imgur.com/dFQiR44

it's hard to try and round an Extrude - it's much easier to just use a cube in a HyperNurb then do some cutting and moving of edges, extruding of polygons to make the shape.

I'm using R15 so HyperNurb is called Subdivision Surface but the functionality is the same. I just did a fast try (and I know I did not get the perfect shape but hopefully you can see where to go) then un-did it to the start then stepped through ReDo - so some of the actions are pretty quick - like when the arms and legs come out I selected the polys on either side and extruded, the legs are 'select both polys on the bottom and extrude with Preserve Groups off' and the head is 'select both polys on the top with Preserve Groups on'...

Thank you very much, especially for a video response! I have tried this method and it works a lot better than a spline in a loft-nurbs. Cheers!
