Now in its second year, the World Animation & VFX Summit connects studio executives, producers, agents, distributors with high-level animation and visual effects professionals for three days of panels, screenings and networking.

Tom McLean, Animation Magazine contributing editor, will moderate a panel that explores VFXcreativity and imagination and the technological tools that support one’s creative vision. Stephen Lawes, co-founder and creative director at Cantina Creative, a design and visual effects studio located in Culver City, Calif., will join a panel of leading digital artists and reveal their favorite tools to get the best artistic results. Under Lawes’ direction, the studio has relied on CINEMA 4D to generate VFX on numerous high profile feature film and commercial projects including Iron Man 3, Iron Man 2 and Marvel’s The Avengers.

GDC Next and MIGS
