Global Illumination/Compositing Issue

This is my first time using these forums so I'm not sure if this is quite the right place to post this but I am having issues with shadows being cast off of a "label" and onto the liquid inside of the bottle. I want global illumination to effect the bottle but not the "label" itself. I am fairly new to cinema 4d, and 3d programs in general really. I can have a compositing tag on the bottle to not cast a shadow, but it still throws a shadow. When I click off global illumination on the compositing tag, it stops this shadow but I lose the lights on the reflection. Any advice would be extremely helpful. The Label is a texture on the glass material, using alpha channels.
Oh, I am using C4D R14 Student Version, and a 2011 Macbook Pro 8gb RAM.
