Hello,

I am trying to setup a scene with HDRI reflections, however when the image is rendered I would like for it to appear to have a simple monochrome background rather than the confusing visual noise of the hdri image that is set as the shader for the sky.

How can I setup a scene so that objects within the scene receive illumination from the hdri image but appear to be on an infinite white or gray background?

Put a "Compositing Tag" on the HDRI sky object or sphere you are using and UNCHECK seen by camera. Now you get the reflections without seeing the HDRI in the background when you render.
