Hey guys,

In the pursuit of modeling the perfect cheeseburger I'm trying to devise a way to make a nice, realistic-looking lettuce leaf. So far I've been working with displacement maps and I'm not having much luck because the lettuce edges often fold and curl over themselves...something I'm not entirely sure how to replicate. For an example on the sort of lettuce I'm trying to create, check this out: http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/thumblarge_476/12656417098p4t95.jpg

Any advice on where to start would be really helpful--I'm relatively new to c4d so I might be missing something fairly obvious. Thanks in advance!

Chris

get a picture of a piece of lettuce. Use it as a flat texture on a plane then use deformers to shape it.
