I’m coming up against a problem using an alpha channel in a material. I am trying to place a poster on a wall that has damaged edges. I have set up a single poly plane that is slightly bigger than the texture. The material contains color and alpha channels, and is applied to the poly with tiling off. The color channel looks like this:

The scene displays correctly in the editor, the alpha is applied correctly and the poster sits nicely on the wall. The texture applied to the poly looks like this:
However, when the scene is rendered there is a semi-transparent black halo around the texture, where the edge of the color file would be. The poly also is filled with the default color in the remaining area.

I’ve toggled on and off the various settings in the alpha material channel, tried using JPG, TIFF, 16bit…
I’m at a loss how to solve this. I’m sure I’ve applied posters or decals to objects many times.
