Strange texture flicker.

Strange texture flicker.

I have encounted this error while importing a sketch up model of an a team van.
The main body of the van has this strange flickering texture error

When animated the vans polygons flicker, it just looks awful.
Please help!

I'm guessing the model has problems with overlapping polys that ocuppy exactly the same space, that's always bad for any renderer. Can't really tell without seeing the actual file though.

It does seem like overlapping polygons. At first i played around with the phong and the normal tags burt no results :(

the mesh is pretty odd and has numerous polys reversed but none overlapped that I can see. The 'swoop' on the side (texture0.jpg) is not showing up here on all the polys it should since there are those odd selection sets of the body of the van and the swoop was only in one of the sets. I took that texture off and reapplied with Flat mapping instead of UVW and lined it up and sized it with the Texture tools with no selection sets. That method required that I put the light and window textures later (right of the swoop texture in the OM) so they would be on top of the swoop but that's just normal.
