Hi all

Just curious as to the workflow and steps you would take if you had to create the following effect? -

* I need to create chocolate in a liquid form that is swirling around in mid-air (almost like a long thin tail) before eventually forming (by pouring into...) a final solid object? *

I was thinking to go about it by creating a thin swirling "shell" in C4D (though not completely sure yet how to? maybe an extruded spline?) then (if I have to) gutting this shell so there are no polygons inside and exporting it into Realflow and filling it as a liquid? But after that I'm not sure how best to get the now liquified shell to transform into a final object form that in this case is meant to represent an animal model.

any suggestions tips would be really appreciated.

there is a tutorial here on the Cow that uses Realflow to fill a letter, it's not what you are doing but perhaps it's close enough to give you some ideas.

Hi thanks for the link

Yes that is the same workflow I was considering. I have done that before also with a liquid text for my logo.

But what I want to do in this case is a bit more organic:

The "liquid" has to move within a thin shell in the form of a "swirl" which has to animate around and around and then finally end as another larger shell which is the form of an animal model.

I was going to create both of these "shells" in cinema 4D the workflow with realflow is a bit complicated with regards to making the animation come together right? so wanted to see if anyone had a better workflow or way of doing the whole thing maybe even without realflow?

Another option is to use the DPIT Effex plugin which includes liquid simulation and works with Thinking Particles.

Hi thanks for the suggestion

Looks like a nice plugin for sure, but am hoping not to go the route of another expense on top of realflow.

Really looking for a relatively simple workflow that someone may have used themselves to produce the same result or similar to compare the steps used even if by just using After effects or Cinema4D alone if that's possible.

thanks
