I'm used to turning off whether an object is pick-able/selectable or not from the viewport-
I see c4D allows you to turn this option off for everything (viewport options->configure-> sel: wireframe), but what about specific objects?

Thanks,
D

you can Lock (or Limit)an object with a Protection tag but it will still be selectable, it just can't have it's PSR changed (or changed outside a range). Is that what you are looking for?

Hi Brian;
well ideally I don't want the object to interfere with selecting other objects- ie: still see the shaded geometry, but only able to select the control object/manipulators...

so you want it to be normal but not show that it's selected when it is, that I'm unsure about.

Thanks Brian, found a solution;

If I create a layer for the object & lock it, then it's no longer selectable in viewport!

Cheers,
D

Hi There. I've being thinking about too the only way I know is to make the selected objs part of the same layer then hide then ... I'd love to get another and fast way too. cheers
