I'm trying to create a short animation in C4D R13 Studio where a single letter (motext) performs a realistic somersault.
Currently I've been trying to keyframe the objects height (Y) and rotation. I've also used the bend deformer to make it look like the letter bends/releases to start its jump.
I then have used a rigid body tag on the letter, a collider body tag on the floor and keyframed the 'dynamics enable' parameter to switch on gravity for a more realistic landing with bounce etc.
This is where I get stuck....
It seems I can't continue the letter's rotation (via keyframes) once the dynamics is enabled.
This means the letter jumps, performs a full 360 rotation then the gravity switches on. It looks really unnatural and I can't help but feel I'm missing something!
Does anyone know a better/correct way of doing this? I've tried numerous CC and Goole searches.
