I can do this in 3d max easily but I have problem in C4D when I wanna use same technique, although I think there is something different here in C4D but I can't get how can I solve this problem!! so plz help me!!!!
the reason for 3 is that the Cylinder and most of the 3D parametric objects have disconnected caps once you make them editable (the Torus and the Capsule too if you Slice them) except the Cube which has a check box for remaining as separate surfaces if you want it to. So, once you make the Cylinder editable you need to go into point/edge/poly mode and run the Optimize command.
There may a plugin that replicates the functionality but it looks like you get the same thing if you were in Point mode and just select every second point and scale outwards/imwards as needed.
