I'm buying a new workstation and I thought i'd go with the Nvidia GTX 560Ti, but someone on Tom's Hardware said i should get a 'real' graphics card (whatever that means?). There are so many options. Does anyone have a recommendation? I do a lot of work in After Effects so I think I need to get an Nvidia card for that CUDA thing..

Nvidia Geforce GT 610 1GB +$53.10
Nvidia Geforce GT 620 1GB +$76.50
Nvidia Geforce GT 630 1GB +$108.00
Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti 1GB +$130.50
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 1GB +$210.60
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti 1GB +$237.60
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores 1.2GB +$304.20 - (my current pick)
Nvidia Geforce GTX 570 1.2GB +$340.20
Nvidia Geforce GTX 670 2GB +$464.40
Nvidia Geforce GTX 680 2GB +$630.00
Nvidia Geforce GTX 690 4GB +$1,287.00

this is the system i'm looking at:
Intel Core i7-3930K 3.2GHz (Six Core)
Motherboard [3-Way SLI/X-fire] ASUS P9X79 DELUXE [SATA III, USB 3.0]
Graphics Card - Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores 1.2GB (Min. 600 Watt Power Supply)
Quad - Channel Memory - 32GB (8x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz
(boot drive) Crucial M4 128GB SSD
(second drive) Western Digital 1TB Caviar Black 7200RPM

thanks guys.

Hi!
A graphics card doesn't have much impact with Cinema4D, so the 680/690 would be overkill. I'm also a gamer, so I'm going for the 670, best value:performance ratio according to reviews online. If you can, I'd recommend getting a Quadro. They're made for workstations. perhaps a Quadro 4000

Thanks for the input Alex. I guess I can understand wanting a 6xx model since you're doing a bit of gaming.
