problem with Half circle and rounding

I'm using the Cap and fillet on a piece of text, I've applied the R1 and C1 to the text with different materials, I'm ok on the C1 material but on the R1 I've added a half circle with a radius 1 on the fillet cap
but the round circle over laps on certain letters i.e the M and the R I've posted a image up does anybody know how to get rid of this.

yeah, but it's not the font you started with since it's making it all bigger to fit the fillet in but that makes areas where the splines are close (the spots in the R and M) actually cross over as they move outward so you get your artifacts. You either have to Constrain or ditch fillet all together and make your own 'half-circle' by using a copy of the text spline that's being extruded and Sweep your own circle down that
