Net Render, Remote Machines Hang during render

I'm trying to use net render with machines in our office while I'm at home on my laptop. Here's the issue:
I've set up 2 remote machines, and when I kick off the render, my machine begins rendering right away while the remote machines say "rendering frame x" It's been 30 minutes and still the first frame has not rendered on the remote machines. My intial guess was that the local machines had to copy all of the textures across the internet before the rendering could begin. Is this the case? If so, it makes sense as there are approx 850mb of textures. If so, Is there a way to find the textures on the local machine (in case I need to manually add one later). Is there another way to possibly speed up those remote clients? I've updated all my software to the latest versions - V15.058. Does anyone know if there is a better way to approach this?
