Cinema4d resolution for hd 16:9 tv

Hi, thanks in advance for any advice.
Basically I am producing an animation in C4D11.5 for widescreen pal DVD display at an expose on big lcd TVs.
For past jobs I have outputed animations as 1024x576 image sequences as requested by the film editor.
This project however I am doing solo and had planned to output as usual 1024x576 image sequence, adding audio and titles in After Effects, then burning DVDs with Encore (the movie needs to loop).
I've found that Encores biggest screen setting is 720x576. Is this correct? if so then is there any point in me rendering animations out at 1024x576? My current 2 minute animation has a render time of approx 24 hours. The quality needs to be as sharp as possible. I have also read that I need to change from 1024x576 to 1050x576 to avoid black strips either side.
Does anyone know of a simple step by step process for outputing from C4D > AE > ENCORE > DVD > 16:9 TV
I save from C4D as image sequence at 1024x576 or 1050x576 or 720x576?
Save from AE as ???
Do I need to use Adobe Media Encoder?
What are the correct settings in Encore for a DVD on UK widescreen tv ?
