Hi,

I want to make an object (lets say it's a cube) appear like it's pushing through a material (a sheet of glossy flexible plastic say).

As it pushes from the back the material will bend with the shape of the cube until it eventually pushes all of the way through to reveal the cube.

Where do I start?

Thanks.

I really do love good design - http://www.splurj.com

maybe proximal in the displacement channel. I've done that with a sphere and it looked good but I don't know if it would look right with a cube, though Proximal does have multiple modes and one of those might work (point or edge maybe)

If you want it to push through and tear the material, cloth works great for this.
