Hey everyone!
I've always wondered how it's done in C4D, to get a live-action scene and then make an existing wall crumble when hit. Here's an example by CorridorDigital:

The first part and also at 0:33

The thing that's puzzling me is how to get those textures in.

Please and thank you in advance!!

[David Alex Wanganju] "The thing that's puzzling me is how to get those textures in."

Which textures exactly?

My guess is that they're camera tracking the footage, then projecting the original live footage from the tracked camera onto geometry where needed.

The details of the described set up will vary depending on the shot and the desired effect.

The textures of the wall.
I tried projection, but I don't know how to lock the material/texture.
By that, I mean if I project, then the geometry moves, the texture stays the same and the objects look like they're slipping behind the image.
Like if you project on a cube and rotate the cube, the texture obviously won't stick to the specific face and turn with it but will continue being in a certain direction...

I think solving that first would help greatly...
