can anyone help me and figuring out how to make this a cleaner looking and acting object? right now in the scene all that is being used is dynamics, 1 motor and ball and socket connectors. This is the best I've done so far. the friction, bounce and collision noise is all set to 0 on everything that is in the scene. ive tried everything within the dynamics to try to get it to work. if anyone can lead me in the right direction or point me to a tutorial, that would be awesome! i would like it to be smooth around the crank.

I'm guessing the rings around the crankshaft are using rigid bodies to maintain position. If so you might be able to get better resiults by tightening the dimensions and setting Steps Per Frame/Max solver Iterations Per Step higher etc but my first instinct would be to use a Connector there too if possible

what kind of connector would i use? Hinge? probably, i just have to figure out how to connect it to a point?

or you could use nulls as children of the shaft in the right places
