Letting C4D use more memory / Enabling 3G through the boot.ini file?

Hello,

I seem to be getting the 'Not Enough Memory' error when rendering large files, and I looked around a bit online to find a solution. I plan on getting more ram within the next week or two, but I also found a trick I want to try.

Somehow, you can get into the boot.ini file and tell Windows to let Cinema 4D use more memory - I'd like to try this but I need some help getting there.

- Where's the boot.ini file?
- How do I open it?
- What's the code I'd enter?

WHAT I'M USING:

Windows 7 32x
Cinema 4D R12

If there are any other tricks/things I should know, don't hesitate to tell me :P

- Matt

How much RAM do you have on your system?
If it's more than 4GB, upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows - and use the 64-bit version of C4D. If it's not more than 4GB, upgrade your RAM AND your OS. :)
