Any suggestions on how to rig a key-frameless countdown?

Feed a constant - Time into a text spline's or MoText's text input in xpresso

No big deal -- it's quite easy. I used an extruded text spline in my case. You'll just have to play with rangemapper values, mainly. Here's an image of the Xpresso setup:

Be sure to set the nodes to integer where possible.

Thanks for that Adam. I am on 10.2 and the setup from your image works great!

I am trying to get it to countdown in seconds.
everything works fine, but is there a settin to make the 9 - 0 be 2 digits ie 09, 08, 07, 06, 05, 04, 03, 02, 01, 00 instead of 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0
