Ryan Paterson'Compositing Background' weird issue

Im using the 'infinite floor' technique a la GSG, which basically means using a compositing tag with 'Compositing Background' checked. It looks great except that anything above the horizon line of the plane doesn't show transparency, it just has a hard cutoff line along it. See attached image, near the top of the box the transparency just gets sliced.

I understand why it happens, just wondering if there's any way around it? Any help is much appreciated!

Just replace the Sky object of the Seamless Floor with a large Sphere object. Apply the same material and the compositing tag to the sphere. Uncheck "Receive Shadows" and check "Compositing Background" in the compositing tag. This should do the job.

Yes, I figured it out actually- was using a Background object for the seamless floor but had a sky object in there as well, as soon as I got rid of that, problem solved.
