Please help... I've built an exhibition set which has to be completely white and has graphics/logos attached, but i'm having a problem getting that effect right. I've used global illum and AO on it to get the edges to show, but just can't get the whole set to be lit to the same brightness level, there are still dark areas inside the model.
How do i get that overall, even lighting effect on my model?
There are many ways to go about it. I would start by using Render>Effects>Ambient Occlusion with "use sky environment" checked. You'll need a sky object in your scene -- just the basic one (objects>scene>sky). Remove AO from your materials if you have it. Then enable the luminance channel in your object material and turn it down to around 35-40% and see how it looks.
