Dear folks
It's getting really hard to get the desired extrusion inside 3ds max using an illustrator based logo. Please see image 1 and image 2. In image 1 the logo was given extrusion while it was only a editable spline. To cap it the open polygons, I converted this to editable poly and used the cap option, however where alphabets "AS" of the ASUS brand logo have the punched hole, I am not being able to resolve this. In Illustrator it was compound path and I tried to do everything like:

a) tried to release the compound path and then imported in 3ds max
b) tried to import as single object and multiple objects one by one
c) tried to save Illustrator file both as version 3 and version 8

All those alternatives have failed. I am sure there must be an easy workaround that perhaps I am not aware of.

Desired result

So guys, your help would be much appreciated.

Syed, look for vertices that are not welded together in the editable spline in 3ds max. This can be as simple as selecting all of your vertices and welding them with a distance value of 0.0. That will take any coincident vertices and combine them into a single vertex and should fix your extrusion.

Joel, you are amazing! This has solved my problem and extrusion is perfectly up to my expectation.
