Rotating animated object.

I'm working with Maya Matchmover and I've tracked a scene then imported into 3dsMax. Within the Matchmover I was unable to set origin and axis for some reason. As a result, when I run the script and it imports a camera and dots, it is not aligned with the grid. This leads to major problems for setting up my scene. So i simply try to rotate both the camera and point cloud around the origin. It looks fine until I look at the animation through my camera. It's all over the place and doesn't line up. So I enable visibility of keyframes of the camera. When I rotate the camera, the animation path stays oriented the same way. It always points up and will not rotate along with the camera leading to wonky results. How can I make it so that the animation rotates along with the camera? I'm new to max but not to 3d so help is appreciated. Also if anyone has used the MM could they help me with why I cannot set the origin?
