I am trying to simulate an effect whereby a simple 3D model shatters into cubes which fall to the ground. The link below shows what I am trying to achieve (the bit where the space invaders are shot at 0:19)
I also have access to Maya and Cinema 4D and wonder which package is suited better for this task?
Any advice, tutorials and help would be greatly appreciated
I would think any of these packages would do the job. I would think that, since the models are so basic and simple, it might be easiest to create them from the very boxes you are going to blast them into.
You could then just group the boxes into one object, and use the Bomb space warp, with gravity set low, to blast them into their respective pieces.
