Well, I thought Trapcode's 3D stroke was advanced enough to handle something like this: https://vimeo.com/35288155 But I guess I'm wrong? I was hoping I would be able to control bezier points in 3d space. Is there a way to pull this off in AE, or is this a job for 3ds Max? I really feel like AE should be able to pull this off at this point. Thanks ahead of time!
Just about everything in that video looks to me as if it could be done in 3D Stroke, other than elements which contain actual 3D volume, and parts where there seems to be some physical system at play (such as when the thread tightens).
Bear in mind that this is advanced 3D Stroke work, with a lot of camera targeting, and probably some expression work as well.
