setting up morph target using a control object

Is there a way in 3ds Max to setup a morph target via a control object.
For example, given a sphere and a control object(mesh, pointer, dummy etc;).
Is there a way to set up a 'look at' constraint on the sphere and to add the lookat target be a control object ? Then, duplicate the entire scene and use the control object as the morph target so the sphere moves ?
