hi i'm using backburner (3ds max design 2011) to render via network, and is doing ok.. but i only have 2 machines i can work with (that's the whole network).
i wanned to know if it was possible to add more servers (machines) that are not part of the network, maybe through IP address only,
to expand the rendering prosses onto other machines.

do all machines have to be part of the same network?

thanks,

These two links should give you your answers. They're straight from the horse's mouth:

http://download.autodesk.com/us/systemdocs/pdf/backburner2011_install_guide...

It looks to me from the PDF, that you can work with either network resources, or hardwired assets, as long as there is a unique IP address, and you have the Backburner software installed on it.
