Tile selected part of texture in 3ds max 9

Hi all!

Might be a silly question, but after an hour of googling I still can't find the solution to my problem.
I'm trying to tile a selected part of a texture. The part of the texture is selected with "Unwrap UVW", but I cant find any way to tile that part to my object.

Any good ideas?

I think that you can just create a new texture with the tiling you want - just by copying the original, and changing the tiling and name in Material Editor. Then drag and drop that new texture from the ME to your selection in Unwap UVW.

Thank you Mr Bourke.

Thought, in this case the purpose is to only use one texture, to optimize performance in a game.
Unfortunatly the game's (FSX) SDK doesn't support the "crop" function in ME either.
I guess that this is impossible then, even not with any plug-ins?
