I'm animating this spinning top and I moved the pivot to the bottom point to make animating the toy around easier.

Now when I set a Target Camera's "Look at Target" parameter to the toy, the camera points to the bottom of the toy! Any way to change this, as in maybe make the camera point to the pivot but add a few units in the y direction?

Thanks!

Maybe try placing a null object on your object (and link them together) where you want the camera to point.
Then point the camera at that instead.

Thanks for the reply, but I decided against my initial idea. The toy actually spells out words on the ground. So if the camera actually follows the toy, the view will become very jerky while the toy is spelling out the letters, as it moves quite fast.

But for future reference, can you please explain to me how to what you said I should try? I'm very new with Max, and I might have to use this somewhere else one day.

Thanks!
