Boujou to 3ds max sync problem!
by Jamie Berry on Apr 13, 2011 at 8:46:34 am
Hi, I just started using boujou and following Video copilot tutorial 3d crater pt.1. When I track the footage in boujou it looks great and the test object stays in perfect position, the problem starts when I export to 3ds max, the tracking points doesn't align and they are all shaking. I've checked my aspect ratio a hundred times same with fps, I'm filming in 1080p 30fps, also using bojou 5 and max 2011.
If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

This probably isn't a max issue but more or less Boujou's fault.
Things to check for in Boujou;
-When you've imported the sequence edit the camera ensure all settings are the same
-When doing a camera solve asses radial distortion and camera smoothness
-Make sure you've only 'Golded' really good tracking points (corners, contrast differences etc.)
-If you're exporting a camera solve for Max make sure the scale is set to a x10 multiplier (Max settings are bigger)
Hope that helps!
