I want to create a world with only the continents visible.
I have material for the world, it is black and white, the continents are black, it has an alpha channel.
I want to apply the material to a sphere in 3Ds Max
-The effect I want to achieve is a world where you can only see continents on a invisible sphere, how do I achieve that in Material Editor.
Apply the material to the sphere and then drag a copy to the opacity map, you may need to invert it under the output rollout. TO be safe you may also want to scrap the alpha channel and use just use a B&W map.
