How to adjust all keyframes of a certain IK element?

Hi all,

I'm sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, I have done some searching but maybe I'm using the wrong search terms...

In 3ds max 2009, I have created a biped that I animate using some free motion capture data that I downloaded. Now my problem is that this data makes some of the limbs look weird during the entire animation, for instance, the shoulders are constantly a bit too high for my character. So I am looking for a simple way to make an adjustment to (for instance) the shoulders over the entire range of keyframes (in the mocap data, there is a keyframe on every frame for every IK element). Whenever I try to move something, it only applies to the single keyframe on the frame I am on that moment. Is there a simple way to rotate a limb a certain amount for all of the existing keyframes?

Thanks!

Open up the animation layers and create a new layer. Then animate what you need. This is a nonlinear edit and will not destroy the original animation.

Hope that this helps.
