animating model with attacewhd/linked objects etc

I modelled a human male form. Then a helmet, chest shield and gun belt.

I applied a BIPED to the model, Physique and applied a BIP animation file. and the model animated .

I have been unable to attach or link the helmet, shield, or gun belt and have it stay in place attached to the parent model.

i would appreciate a HOW To on how to attach these obejct s and make sure they stay on the prent model as it animates

thansk

If you are going to link the objects, then you have to link the objects to the corresponding part of the biped. For example, you can link the helmet to the head of the biped.

If you want to attach the object to the actual mesh, then you would need to use the skin wrap modifier. The only problem with this is that the mesh will deform and this would not work for a rigid object like a helmet.

I hope that this helps.

OK i attached/linked the objects and it animated in position excellent.

2the belt i was unable to attach/link.I tried to attach/link it
to the bipeds spine "bone" however MAX rejected it in putting up a dialogue box on such a link was creating a dependent link.

3. not sure where to go with the belt link??? or how to get that working

Thansk for the assistance.
