everything is working fine...untill i let some wind out?
i am trying to texture a treestorm in max with a subobject material for the leaves...but apperantly it only works as long as i do not apply wind.
i use a editmesh modifer on the tree object and select all the branches , boroughs , twigs all branch elemnts and give them one ID and then selecting only the leaves (elements) use another modifier "material by element"> random ID "20" while the leaves are selected.
then apply a either multisub object or a multi map in the diffuse channel. the leaves have all different color... now i can texture with each leaf having random green values.
however the catch is when i apply wind in the first level in the modifier tree.. the whole tree gets assigned only the first of the multi sub material automatically and it becomes one single color.
