Has anyone noticed that 3dsmax2009 does not use all 4 cores in a quad processor, while doing modelling and animation?
I mean, of course mentalray uses all 4 cores while rendering, but i got this quad core for modelling and animating, not rendering. and i'm doing some heavy morphing/skeleton based animation, so the interaction with the program gets really slow, and i just noticed cpu usage never goes over 25%...
i have affinity set to use all cores, so that means that while we are modelling and animating, 3dsmax does not use all cores.
does anyone know if there is any solution to this? or if 3dsmax2010 solves this problem?
i'd guess that autodesk should have already thought about that by max2009... seems not.
