Render problems when using an image sequence as background
on Apr 17, 2009 at 10:56:14 am

I'm having trouble rendering out an object that is to be composited into After Effects. I've set up an environment background (an image sequence) of the back plate, but some of the see-through layers of my object (as in windows etc) do not render out properly. Here's some examples to help explain:

This is the object with the background rendered too (obviously I only want to render out the object on it's own, but this is what it should look similar too):

This is the actual object render:

And this is that composited into After Effects:

As you can see, the window at the back does not render out - and I'm really unsure as to why. I did not make the object (I'm an amateur in 3Ds Max) but I've looked at the layer and it's render options seem correct as far as I can see.

Is there a special way to render out objects/layers like this? (like render out the part of the background that is behind the window too)
