I've exported a torus from the list of extended primitives in 3dsmax. I subdivided it and sculpted a high res model in zbrush. I dropped it back down to its lowest subdiv level and created a displacement map. I exported the lowest subdiv level out of zbrush and into 3dsmax and wish to render with its displacement map. I'm following various tutorials but I seem to be missing something because when i open the materials editor and apply my map, nothing seems to happen, apart from a rough texture of my displacement map applied to the low res model in the viewport. Any chance someone could give me step-by-step instructions on displacement map?
