I'm a bit of a beginner with 3DS max so bear with me :)
I'm making a scene where rain is falling on some rocks, which I've made in 3DS Max, and I'm using super spray to simulate some rain falling onto my objects, but the rain goes straight through them. I know there is a deflector space warp, but it's only a rectangular shape.
Is there a way to assign a deflector to one of my rocks so the rain bounces off?
Instead of the simple Deflector use an U-Deflector. Her you can assign your every object you like as a deflecting geometry.
If your system slows down, it`s because this geometry might be to hires. To work around this you can use a lowres version and turn it not renderable in the objectproperties.
